The NATE-Certification Advantage

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes across North America every day. While this distinction of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds comforting, what does it truly mean?
nate certified technicians

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years. However, not all technicians in the business are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without the certification.

It’s essential to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may gain certification in any of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job right the first time. Our company has the know-how and skill set to not only repair your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment. Call 205-267-0023 to have one of our NATE-Certified experts evaluate your HVAC system to be sure that it is prepared to secure your family’s comfort all year long.
